Ili kusahihisha sentensi hizo tunafaa kuandika: Tulimsaidia mama kuosha vyombo halafu tukaenda kucheza. Wanafunzi wote waliwasili shuleni asubuhi. Katika sentensi ya tatu na ya nne, maneno *nyubani, mjoba na buzi yamedondosha konsonanti m. Tunafaa kuandika: Nilipofika nyumbani nilimpata baba akifyeka nyasi. Mjomba alinunua mbuzi watano jana. Udondoshaji wa herufi hizi aghalabu husababishwa na athari ya lugha ya kwanza hasa ikiwa konsonanti hiyo haipo katika lugha ambayo mwanafunzi alijifunza kwanza. Mwanafunzi mwenye changamoto ya kudondosha baadhi ya konsonanti katika maneno anafaa kufanya mazoezi ya: kutambua konsonanti ambayo ana mazoea ya kuidondosha, kutamka maneno yenye konsonanti husika kwa sauti, kuandika sentensi mbalimbali akitumia maneno yenye konsonanti ambayo amezoea kudondosha katika maneno.
