UGOMVI kati ya vijana wawili kuhusu mwanamke katika baa moja kwenye mpaka wa Kisii na Narok umegeuka kuwa vita vya kijamii, na kusababisha watu kujeruhiwa huku usafiri na biashara zikitatizika. Wiki mbili zilizopita, vijana hao walikuwa wakiburudika jioni katika baa inayopatikana katika kituo cha kibiashara cha Nyabitunwa walipoanza kupigana kuhusu mwanamke. Jamaa zao walijiunga, na kugeuza mzozo huo kuwa makabiliano yaliyoathiri Nyabitunwa, Kiango na Enoosaen. "Lilikuwa tukio dogo kati ya wanaume wawili ambalo lingeweza kutatuliwa hapa hapa, lakini kwa bahati mbaya lilizidi kuwa kubwa," akasema Elvis Machoka, mkazi wa Nyabitunwa. Naibu Kamishina wa Kaunti Ndogo ya Kenyenya, William Bett, alisema hali ya utulivu ilikuwa imeanza kurejea Jumapili asubuhi. "Tumepeleka maafisa wa kutosha wa usalama kukomesha mvutano huo. Kufikia asubuhi hii, utulivu wa kiasi umeanza kurejea. Jumapili tulifanya mkutano wa usalama katika eneo hilo kuwataka wakazi kudumisha amani kabla ya shule kufunguliwa kesho," akasema Bw Bett. "Tungependa kuwahakikishia wazazi na wanafunzi ambao wamekuwa likizoni kwamba usalama utakwepo. Hatutaondoka hadi hali ya kawaida irejee kikamilifu," akaongeza. Wakati huo huo, shughuli katika Kiwanda cha Sukari cha Transmara zimeathirika. Wafanyakazi wanaoishi upande wa Kisii wanalazimika kutumia njia ya Kisii-Kilgoris chini ya ulinzi wa polisi baada ya Kiango-Enoosaen kutopitika. "Malori yanayosafirisha sukari kuelekea Kisii na maeneo mengine hayawezi kupita Enoosaen. Hata usafirishaji wa miwa umeathirika," akasema.
