Kabla ya kutumia pampu ya sola, nilikuwa nikivuna karibu kilo 50 za managu kwa wiki. Sasa huvuna takriban kilo 200 kwa wiki," anaambia 'Akilimali Dijitali'. Pia huvuna karibu kilo 50 za terere na kilo 100 za sukuma wiki kila wiki, kulingana na mahitaji ya soko. Esther huuza managu na terere kwa Sh50 kwa kilo, huku akiuza zaidi ya kilo 500 za ndizi kwa mwezi kwa Sh45 kwa kilo. "Hulima ndizi na tuna chama cha ushirika kinachotusaidia kupata soko lenye ushindani mkuu," akasema wakati wa mahojiano shambani mwake Githunguri. Lengo lake sasa ni kutumia nishati safi katika shughuli zote za shamba, ikiwemo biogas ya mapishi, ili kupunguza gharama zaidi.
