Mwalimu Marube, 'tabibu' wa Hisabati na Fizikia: 'Si uchawi, siri ni nidhamu na mazoezi'
KWA wanafunzi wengi, kutajwa kwa masomo ya Hisabati na Fizikia pekee hutosha kuzua wasiwasi ndani yao. Wengine huamini kuwa ni masomo magumu yanayohitaji kipaji cha pekee cha kuzaliwa nacho. Hata hivyo, mwalimu Moses Marube ana mtazamo tofauti kabisa. Kwake, mafanikio katika masomo haya hayategemei kipaji pekee bali hujengwa kupitia bidii, nidhamu na mwongozo sahihi. Marube, ambaye kwa sasa anafundisha Hisabati na Fizikia katika Shule ya Upili ya Nduru Girls, Kaunti ya Kisii, anasema kuwa wanafunzi wanaofanya vyema katika masomo hayo huwa na tabia moja muhimu – hawatishwi na changamoto. "Mwanafunzi anapokutana na swali gumu hafai kuliona kama kikwazo. Kila swali gumu ni fursa ya kujifunza jambo jipya. Mafanikio huanza pale mwanafunzi anapoamua kutafuta suluhisho badala ya kukata tamaa," anasema. Kwa mtazamo wake, wanafunzi bora hujifunza kutokana na makosa yao na huwa tayari kuuliza maswali wanapokwama. Aidha, hawasubiri kipindi cha mitihani ndipo washike vitabu, bali hujenga utamaduni wa kujifunza kila siku. "Hisabati na Fizikia ni kama kujenga nyumba. Huwezi kuanza na paa kabla ya msingi. Ukielewa dhana za msingi na kufanya mazoezi mara kwa mara, mada ngumu huwa rahisi kueleweka," anaeleza. Safari ya Marube mwenyewe ni ushahidi wa thamani ya juhudi na kujituma. Alizaliwa katika eneo la Tabaka, Kisii, na kuanza masomo yake katika Shule ya Msingi ya Tabaka Hillcrest kabla ya kujiunga na Shule ya Upili ya Moi Gesusu Boys. Matokeo yake mazuri yalimfungulia mlango wa kujiunga na Chuo Kikuu cha Egerton kusomea shahada ya ualimu (Hisabati/Fizikia). Akiwa mwanambee katika familia ya watoto wanne, Marube anawapongeza wazazi wake, Bw Peter Marube na Bi Gladys Kerubo, kwa mchango wao mkubwa katika safari yake ya elimu. Akiwa katika shule ya upili, alikuwa mpenzi wa kandanda na mpira wa vikapu na miongoni mwa wanafunzi bora darasani. "Nilichagua taaluma ya ualimu kwa sababu nilitaka kuwasaidia wanafunzi kuondoa hofu waliyo nayo kuhusu Hisabati na Fizikia. Lengo langu ni kuwaonyesha kwamba kila mwanafunzi ana uwezo wa kufaulu iwapo atapata mwongozo sahihi na kuwa tayari kufanya kazi kwa bidii," anasema. Kabla ya kujiunga na Nduru Girls mapema mwaka huu, Marube aliwahi kufundisha katika Lampros Education Centre jijini Nairobi na baadaye Shule ya Tuamini jijini Nakuru. Mbali na kufundisha, Marube pia hushiriki shughuli za kuwanoa wanafunzi katika mchezo wa mpira wa vikapu kwa ushirikiano na Bw Agola anayesimamia Idara ya Michezo shuleni Nduru Girls. Juhudi zao zimezaa matunda baada ya timu hiyo kutuzwa katika mashindano ya kiwango cha Kaunti ya Kisii muhula huu. Kwa wanafunzi wanaotamani kufanya vyema katika masomo ya sayansi, Marube ana ushauri wa wazi. "Usiogope makosa kwa sababu ndiyo daraja la kukuelekeza penye mafanikio. Fanya mazoezi kila siku, sikiliza mwalimu wako, uliza unapokwama na uwe na subira. Hakuna uchawi katika Hisabati wala Fizikia. Siri yake ni nidhamu, mazoezi ya mara kwa mara na mtazamo chanya." Anaongeza: "Mafanikio makubwa huanza na hatua ndogo zinazorudiwa kila siku. Mwanafunzi anayejifunza kwa uthabiti leo ndiye mtaalamu wa kesho. Ukiamini unaweza kuelewa Hisabati na Fizikia, tayari umeanza safari ya kufaulu."
